 You are Wolverine!
A loner by nature, you feel uncomfortable when around those you don't know and even those you do. You are awkward when it comes to relationships, but fiercely loyal to those you love.

I feel that on a night such as this i should get as much of what i'm feeling off of my chest since i wasn't completely honest with myself or anyone reading this for that matter. I know not many people actually read this but sometimes you wonder who actually stumbles across it. So exactly one day after my birthday i get a letter from a ghost, someone that was completely out of my life for a little over 3 months. The subject of the letter entitled "i'm sorry" so being the feeble minded person i am, i actually open the letter. I go to get my cigarettes because i know reading this letter would probably take two hours of my life, twenty minutes to read it and another hour and fourty minutes to start to comprehend it. So i get my ash tray and take a cigarette out of a fresh pack to light up. I then turn on somewhat emo to depressive music and all of a sudden it hits me. If I were to open the letter I would just be admitting my weakness that I know is no longer there. So with that thought popping into my head I decided to close this two and a half page letter and delete it. I know the gist of the letter without reading it. One of those sapless attempts to be the "vulnerable" person in the situation and pretend to think everything will get better when you give a fake apology. Seriously if you can't sleep, it's happening for a reason. So I took another step forward today by not opening pandora's box. With all that "emo" shite said nothing eventful happened today other then playing hockey and my team losing 10-9.

1:47 pm - Mass Pike
|
So we went to Mass and played two shows in one night. The first show people actually showed up for us, which is pretty interesting to have a following in another state. We played first and got the crowd into it, then packed up right away and left for Worcester. We got there and played for about 25 people tops but, by the time the band after us hit the stage there were well over a hundred people in the place. We got paid enough money between both shows plus selling what little merchandise we had left to actually make money and not lose like we normally do. Another successful trip under out belts....yay for us

10:32 am - We survived the trip to the pitt.
|
We left at 10am yesterday and made it to pittsburgh at 5:15pm. There didn't seem to be many people there but it was early yet. We loaded in our equipment and set up to get a sound check. In like Flint did us a huge favor and played first since they lived closer to the show than we did. We went on second and had a huge response from the crowd, some singing along and an all out good time of dancing to the soundtrack we provided for all of fourty minutes. Big D and Mustard Plug played well which was to be expected, we left shortly after the show ended. We all sat down and had a nice meal at Denny's, one of the best places to eat when out on the road. After leaving the Burgh for the island some members of the band got a little cranky. As was to be expected for the majority of us having sleeping disorders. We had left at 1:15am and got home at 8am and had to drop Mike off at his job in just enough time to return the van we had rented from Van-Tastic. That's about all i can say for the trip other than Waaaahhh!!!

3:45 am - what is sleep good for?
|
Had a guitar lesson tonight which was nice since that money lasted almost an hour. Got home in time to watch the Islanders continue a great game and win 3-0 over the senators. Other than that a long time watching movies and trying to write music.
Well here's a flash to the past...

Another one of those days that you sleep through almost entirely, when i say sleep through i mean stay awake for many hours at a time and become more delirious than ever. It's funny how you can analyze all of life's problems and never get the answer but, when you analyze past problems the answer is always so clear. I guess it's a matter of not being able to think clear in a clutch situation but who knows. I'm looking forward to our shows coming up this weekend, more along the lines of getting of this shitty island i hate to call home. Went out to get food a little earlier from 7's, and bought $5 worth of scratch-off's (i swear i'm not addicted) and i ended up winning just over $30. I'd say i have pretty good luck when it comes to useless shit like that but as for the big picture who knows, maybe you have to make your own luck. That's all for now.....
"Make a desperate move or else you'll win And then begin To see What you're doing to me this MTV is not for free It's so PC it's killing me So desperately I sing to thee Of love Sure but also rage and hate and pain and fear of self And I can't keep these feelings on the shelf I've tried well no in fact I lied Could be financial suicide but I've got too much pride inside To hide or slide I'll do as I'll decide and let it ride until I've died And only then shall I abide this tide Of catchy little tunes Of hip three minute ditties I wanna bust all your balloons I wanna burn all of your cities To the ground I've found I will not mess around Unless I play then hey I will go on all day hear what I say I have a prayer to pray That's really all this was And when I'm feeling stuck and need a buck I don't rely on luck because..."

8:56 am - ANOTHER EVENTFUL NIGHT
|
Go to the diner for some coffee which ends up with the diner closing and Mike's car dying in south Baldwin. It was the transmission which is expensive to fix. We waited two and a half hours for the tow truck to show up, then realize the car wont go to neutral unless it's running. We eventually get it into neutral and get the car towed to a place across from the diner that we had just left three and a half hours prior. So we decide to just wait until the guy shows up to open his shop and tell him what happened to the car. I didn't want to leave Mike alone so i hung out and went to the diner for some breakfast which really hit the spot and got my body temperature almost back to normal. I've been up for so many hours now i dont know what day it is or what is really going on. I do know that for once and all i can say i've moved on from the past. I ran into an old friend that told me someone i used to date is now dating someone i despise and it had no effect on me whatsoever. This is a great thing to finally know i am over that, for so long i thought i might be and now more than ever i have the proof to konw i am ok. That's right i'm ok and like the song says, you have no effect on me. In other news the Yankee home opener was postponed until today but who knows if it will actually happen today. The Islanders are looking foward to winning in Ottowa and taking the Senators in 5 games, that's my prediction. 50-1 odds against them winning the Stanley Cup, i think it's better then that but who knows the playoffs bring out the best in the unexpected. As for now i have to get back to DC, i'll be there until 12pm. If i can think of anything while i'm gone i will definitely post the fragments to what i left out of this oh so "eventful" evening.

3:07 am - bored to death....sort of
|
Another day has gone by and i still haven's been able to sleep. I should go to a doctor soon and get some sleeping medication that i'll probably end up taking with alcohol and get addicted to. I should wait until being famous before getting hooked on medications. Let's recap the day. The yankees won again which was a good sign. The Islanders won their last game of the regular season and are moving on to the playoffs. I've had plenty of time at the computer but, didn't spend a lot of it talking to people. I've grown bored of sitting at the computer and talking to everyone i know. On a brighter note, i just found this out

Just seeing if this works, you never know

This is what i see when we play, pretty interesting to me...
We lost an hour, that's just bullshit. I want that hour back, somehow i'g going to get it back. We had a show technically yesterday and there was a decent turnout considering we didn't promote the show all too well. I think we sounded good due to the circumstances of Dave hurting himself standing up, Joey not being able to play the songs yet, and Jeff not being able to play the guitar, saxophone, kazoo, and sing at the same time. All in all yesterday was a fun day.

7:29 am - I.Q. testing
|
i have been unable to sleep as usual so i started taking I.Q. tests online for the hell of it. This is what i scored on one of them....
Congratulations! Your general IQ score is 138. A person whose IQ score falls in the range of 129-143 is considered to be "highly intelligent".
Imagine that, applying myself and actually being "highly intelligent". I should try that more often
